Frequently Asked Questions

Setup

Do I need to install any software or leave my PC running?

No. There is no software to install on your computer. All you need is a web browser (the one you are using now will do great). You don't even need to keep your computer running or be near to it. This service runs 24 hours a day from our servers.

Do I need to do anything before signing up to this service?

You need to make sure you have a driving test booked. You should use the DSA booking website to book and pay for the next available test slot.

Cost

Can I change my test multiple times?

Yes, you can use the service as many times as you like. At present the DSA limit you to no more than three changes to your test date per booking. If you use up all three changes you'll need to completely cancel your booking and start again if you want to continue using the service.

If I fail my test do I have to pay again?

No. You can use the service as many times as required until you pass your test. Simply book another test on the DSA website and then log in to your account to set a new test date criteria.

What's the difference between the trial and full versions?

The free trial service checks for available test dates for you once every half an hour. You cannot reserve or book any dates that are found - for this you need one of the paid versions.

Booking

Do I have to take the first test I'm offered, or can I wait for another one?

You are under no obligation to accept any test dates we offer. Simply ignore the text and/or email and the service will continue checking for more suitable dates.

If I book a test will you continue searching for an earlier test slot?

Yes, we will continue to send you notifications of available test slots. If you are happy with the test slot you have booked you can login to your account and click the 'Stop' button or text STOP to our mobile number.

How do I book a test?

We provide you with three ways to book. Either reply to the text message you receive with the word BOOK or click on the link in the email you are sent. Alternatively you can log into your account on our website and click the 'Book' button.

How long do I have to reply to one of your messages?

We must receive your reply within 10 minutes of the time our message was sent. Try to reply as soon as possible because on rare occasions text and email messages are delayed somewhere between you and us (this is beyond our control).

I wasn't able to reply to a message in time, what shall I do?

We recommend that you reply to our message anyway as this lets us know you are interested in the test slot we notified you of. The test slot has probably been taken by someone else but if it becomes available again we will send you another message.

Do I need to cancel my old test after I have booked an earlier one?

No, the DSA take care of this automatically - your old test slot is made available for other candidates to book once your new booking is confirmed.

What happens once I have booked an earlier test slot?

Firstly, you should receive a confirmation (text or email) message from us detailing your booking. The DSA will send you a confirmation email within a few hours (usually). You may need to check your Junk/Spam email folder for this. Remember also that you can check your current booking at any time on the DSA booking website.
